Predator Construction Site (One of my long term projects .... NOW FINISHED!)

.
UPDATE: 4/19/10

First show: NNL East in April of 2010. and it was a great show.

This project started life years ago when Scale Auto Enthusiast Magazine announced their Alumacoupe contest.

The contest was based on the new Testors Alumacoupe. Start with this kit and do what ever you want with it.

Well I started getting into too much detail and knew I would never make the deadline, so I decided to just go all-out on it.

    Gary,
It was great seeing the recent coverage of the Predator in SA this month!
It has to be one of my all time favorite builds and still can't understand how that Nomad
    had a chance against it.

Could you tell me how you joined the tire halves together in the rear? They look like 1 piece tires to me

Contests and keep up the great work!

Thanks Jay.  The tires are from Revell. Sportsman.  Carefully slice with a single edge razor blade the straightest cut you ever made. You need a perfect joint for this to look right.  Then the important step. Find a tire that will fit inside perfectly.  In my case, the stock Aluma Coupe rear tire worked. This will align everything and keep it aligned. Use superglue when joining the whole assembly but watch, it sets quick. A little final sanding of the tread and your there.  Good luck!
