Every year Calgary hosts the Calgary Stampede. It starts with a parade on Friday in downtown Calgary and ends 10 days later.
During this time businesses encourage everyone to dress in western wear and many companies hold a Stampede breakfast of pancakes, sausage, etc..
The Calgary Stampede proper is held in the Stampede Grounds and has a big bucks rodeo, a midway, agriculture exhibits and a indoor show where people rent booth and sell various items of interest.
Most of these pictures were taken on July 14, 2001 when Karen and I took our daughter Lauren and nephew Blake Provost.
