The Cellcom Green Bay Marathon is held each May in Green Bay, WI and seeks to create community spirit through a world-class marathon for people of all abilities. Events include a marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 5k and kid’s run.
Since it’s inception in 2000, the marathon has strived to give back to the community and has done so successfully. Over $410,000 has been donated in the marathon’s 10-year history.
The course itself is fast with few turns that includes the unique experience of running through Lambeau Field in the final mile. The marathon starts near Lambeau Field and heads to the beautiful streets of west Green Bay, crossing the De Pere bridge to enjoy six miles of the Fox River Trail. The asphalt trail runs along the river from DePere, through Allouez, to downtown Green Bay before crossing the Walnut Street bridge. It then continues through more Green Bay neighborhoods before returning to Lambeau Field.
