I decided to wear my hair in protective styles...aka "Damn my hairs to short to do anything with" for over 3 months.

After about 3 months of protective styles, yarn braids, I can reconnect with MY HAIR once again!!

My hair is not growng nearly as long as I would like...so this month has been/will be a month of protective styles.

These are just random pics taken throughout the month of August. My camera broke....so excuse the quality of pics taken by my cam phone....lol!! Also, finally measured my hair length and I'm at 3 inches exactly...so I'm kind of excited. One last thing....I have really been contemplating if I should loc my hair. This weekend, I braided my hair in small microbraids and I'm really considering letting them loc (sisterlocs)....but not sure. I'm really enjoy the flexibility and freeness of my naps...but soo loving the loc thing too=( Please help sisters....I really need advice on this one!! Thanks!!

Ok so after much thought and advice from others.....I've come to the conclusion....that it's best to wait and continue to rock my fros, twistouts, etc! I know that althought I am really in love with locs now....there are many styles that I need to experiment with and achieve before i can loc =)

I'm very late with Month 11's updates...because I've been soooooo busy. Anyhoo....This month consist of several protective styles but for some reason or another, they couldn't last.

Sooo...... I am so happy that I've lasted this long and I'm looking forward to many more years and length ;0) November 16th marks my one year nappversary!! Thanks to all my new found napptural sisters who have made sticking to my napptural hair possible. In retrospect...I can think of at least 2 times where I wanted to perm my "too thick and too nappy hair" but after viewing other's albums....I would get inspired to keep keeping on and now a year later I'm still natural...yay. One a different note...this month I decided to dye my hair black and I am sooooo loving it. It really looks like I have new hair and it's sooooooo awesome=)
