Hurricane Bill was about 200 miles offshore when it bypassed Biddeford Pool in August, 2009, but it created quite a show. Normally Biddeford Pool has few tourists, but they came in droves to watch the surf that hot, sunny Sunday. This album includes photos from the day before and the day after, as well as the day the waves were at their height. Oh, and by the way, the hurricane coincided with astronomical high tides.

In September, we got together for two days with my friends from university. We met in Gananoque, Ontario (not far from the place where Lake Ontario ends and the St. Lawrence River begins) and went kayaking among the Thousand Islands and walking up a hill overlooking the river. We also enjoyed warm weather, wonderful meals, a play and the great company of old friends. Janice

This bog is located in Ogden Township in Quebec's Eastern Townships and belongs to the Nature Conservancy of Canada. Very few people know about it, which is probably a good thing. I went there with members of a local nature club, reaching the bog through a forest path and boardwalk.

This album includes photos I took in Old Montreal and around Bagg Street, Montreal, for a weekend photo workshop, My Vision I, organized by the Camtec photo store. Bagg Street is significant to me because it was named after members of my family, and later my husband's parents lived there.
