Beautiful, high-performance street machines, hot rods, and street trucks returned to the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri for the 24th Annual O'Reilly Auto Parts Fall Street Machine Nationals on September 29th & 30th, 2012. This national celebration of horsepower and dream machines returns to Springfield for the second year in a row!

All proceeds from this show go to help individuals with developmental disabilities

Since 1965, the Hardin County Fluorspar Festival has been held in the fall in Rosiclare, Illinois to celebrate the influences brought to the area by the Fluorspar Mining Companies. The Festival features an ever-growing list of activities and things to do, including a Queen’s Pageant, a carnival, hickory-smoked barbeque, a pet parade, kid’s games, karoke, food and craft vendors, a quilt show, an open-house at the American Fluorite Museum, a car, truck and motorcycle show, rides on the Shawnee Queen River Taxi and a large parade featuring local school bands, groups, floats, a Grand Marshall and horse clubs

The purses were $500 for Best of Show, $100 for Best Non Top 3, $100 for Best Mopar, $100 for Best Ford, $100 for Best Chevy, $100 for Best Truck, $100 for Best Car, $100 for Best Motorcycle and awards were given for Top 2 Trailered Vehicles, Top 50 1985 and down and Top 5 1986 and Up.

The chief sponsors were the Saline County Tourism Board, Wallace Auto Parts and Jim Hayes, Inc.

1st Annual Car Show for the Disabled Veterans at the Marion VA Hospital, I was told thiswas the first time in a long time some of the Vets felt like getting outside, God Bless our Veterans

Illinois State Police Memorial Run Held in Springfield every Year, great run, I considered it an honor to be allowed to participate in it.

Lights ans Siren Parade from North Aurora to Lake in the Hills IL about 32 miles. Had a great time lots of nice cop cars and regular cars too.

The Show was moved to Mooseheart this year, turned out well. The pictures show everyone who pitched in to help me with difficulties I had with my lightbar, what a great group of people!!!!

Since 1975 the E’ville Iron Street Rod Club has put on a rod run for street rod owners in August. It is held at the Vanderburgh County 4-H Center in Evansville Indiana. At the first event they had 44 street rods registered. Since that time the Frog Follies has grown to an average of over 4000 street rods each year. The event became known as the Frog Follies after the club had a bull frog race at the first event. They’ve had entries from Alaska, Australia, Canada, and all 48 continental states over the years.
All of the proceeds generated by the event go to numerous charities and student scholarships which help local students get into some aspect of the automotive industry and technologies

Great day for a car show!! The Folks from the Third Baptist Church in Marion were great!! as was the DJ- Big Elvis and the Host of the Show Mr. George Williams!!! We had a great time!!
