I would like to echo his current trainers comments regarding Bey Ninja's great disposition. His previous owners brought him to my farm, Showcase Stables, in Memphis in the early 1990s for training and board. He had never been ridden previously. What a sweetheart and such a willing and intelligent guy! He progressed rapidly through lower level dressage, work over fences and I even trail rode him in groups of other horses without any problems. I was sad to learn later that his new trainers had difficulty with him . . . I have to say this had to have been a problem with the way he was handled rather than the disposition of the horse. For example, on one occasion, I allowed my 12 year-old god-daughter to ride him (supervised of course). He was wonderful with her and everyone at my facility adored his friendly, outgoing personality - not to mention his incredible good looks.
I love arabians and would like to buy another one some day, how can I find foals with Cass Ole's lines for sale, who are some of his offspring, I live in canyon texas;, and would like very much to know more about his babies, other than AL Zirr and Cass O Nova

man Cas Ole is the most beautiful horse I have ever seen, I have an arab that is related to him gosh thier wonderful horses I would say the best. the movies are so graght. does any one Kno were or if i could find a video clip of him and a pedagree I have all ways wanted a black arabian I love that horse so much I want to cry wen I watch the movie bye P.S. he is really good at acting
I knew Cass Ole when I was a teenager. I rode with Walter "Chappy" Chapman who was his original trainer. Cass Ole had a very gentle disposition... easy to ride for anyone. He never acted up around mares as most stallions do. He had very striking white stockings on his legs and a star on his forehead, concealed (with some difficulty) for the film.
He was very consistent and fun to ride. It did not surprise me at all when he was chosen to be the main horse in the film because I knew that he would perform beautifully, as he always did... not rattled by anything.
I would like people to know that Cass Ole received a lot of his training from Chappy who was uncredited in the film. He learned all of his ground commands and "tricks" before he was ever trained for the movie because I saw Chappy do these with him many times. Indeed, Chappy worked in Hollywood in his early years and often trained stunt horses before he became such an important trainer for Arabians. Chappy trained many horses (including my half-Arab, Tut) to do many tricks for entertainment and fun for both horse and owner.
Walter Farley came to visit Chappy and the ranch outside San Antonio where Cass Ole spent time when he wasn't at his owner's home. I met him which was such a thrill. Most of you know "The Black Stallion" through the films but my introduction was through Mr. Farley's wonderful books!!
Yes, he was a wonderful horse and loved by so many.

This is so gorgeous...definitely something I do with my pony. :)
She's the coolest...1/2 Arabian, 1/4 Thoroughbred, 1/4 Welsh. Her name is Xandria. She's kind of a golden liver chestnut with one blue eye. :) She's definitely the best pony in the world (I'm partial ;)).
