This is my lovely mare's sire. I knew him when on lease to Sweden 1986-88 and just love him.
Balon was Swedish National Champion Stallion in 1986 and Polish National Champion Stallion in 2003 (at the age of 24!!) and Polish Reserve Champion Stallion in 1994.
Welcome to visit my homepage www.winddrinker.se to learn more about Balon or my mare Mirva or their relatives.
It doesn't make him pure polish if he traces back to Mammona or Taraszcza. On his mother's side he traces back to Nazeer. Is he Straight Egyptian then? No.
One line goes back to Skowronek, a Crabbet bred horse.
Balaton is out of lines that are considered to be Straight Russian. That's a fact.
But, almost no straight this or pure that horses are really "straight" anything. So one might say he is of mixed bloodlines, but in NO way he is pure polish.
Neither he nor his father or grandfather have ever been used in Poland. All three were bred in Tersk. His mother and grandmother were bred in the russian state stud, too.
It has taken me a while to find this horse.Ihave been looking for him as my new mare is is by him,out of Nagiba. If anyone has any info about these horses I would greatly appreciate it.
Hi! I have a Shahwan granddaughter. My friend has a daughter and a grandson. I'm looking for photos of Shahwan - one in particular: Shahwan free jumping an Olympic standard.
