Gulastra was one of the few US bred sons of Astraled imported by Brown from the Crabbet farm in England. Astraled spent most of his time improving the bloodlines of army remounts (mostly thoroughbreds). Gulastra was produced in Astraled's last crop of foals. He counts both as Egyption and as Crabbet (CMK) bloodlines. He was 30 when he died -- in 1954.
I have a mare that is out of a mare by Gazon, making my mare a granddaughter of Gazon. She has a half-sister, also a Gazon granddaughter, that produced an incredible stallion in Canada--three National championships etc. I have a filly from my mare by a Shagya-Arabian stallion that promises to be extraordinary. The Gazon lines are strong!
I have an Ivanhoe Tsultan Son out of a Gazon daughter. The cross is incredible and he (my stallion) himself produces incredible foals with excellent conformation and dispositions. There are nothing better than the old bloodlines which I prefer on my farm!!
We bought this impeccable stallion from Mr. Daniel C. Gainey as a yearling. He was not shown very often, but did very well when he was. He was extremely athletic and could turn on a dime. Absolutely a gentleman at all times and the love of our life. He was sold to California after my fathers death. His son "Roufer" earned national Ch. in reining and trail. He died in 1982. To know this horse was to love him! Anita Anderson Grant

Hey! I have a great great grandson of Gazon- she is a registered arabian, steel grey, and is just 5 years old. Her name is Nefa's Velvet Wizpr. She has every bit of resemblence of Gazon (exept the color of course). We are doing show jumping, english and western pleasure, and have won countless ribbons together. I am 14 and live in DE. Gazon is beautiful!!
Hi I own a mare who's the daughter of Gai Adventure, Markis Gai Dawn, and I can tell that they are related. I was wondering if you knew the names of his other foals? Jeana Albers
It is because of this horse I have been hooked on arabians since 1970. He was one of the most awesome animals I have ever seen. I saw him and the legendary Silver Drift at the Tacoma Horsemans Unit in Spanaway, Washington in 1970. Mr. Madsen's son Mark and I went to school together. My girlfriend and I went to see the horse show and we found Mark in the stables with GaZi'. We visited for a while and Mark asked if I would like to ride GaZi' in this little training area they had. Of course I said yes. I didnt ride him but for a few minutes but in that few minutes when I was on his back I became hooked for good on the arabian horse. I feel very honored to have known him. Mr. Madsen and GaZi' had a very special bond with each other. I saw it several times with my own eyes. It was obvious they loved each other very much. I will never forget it.
this is my favorite son of Anter. this stud is so exquisite!!!! The black color helps much too. I hope to one day own a descendant of the fine stallion.
