"Ö.imp. from Poland 1945, and captured in the same group as *WIERNA, so was more specifically imported from Czechoslavakia. Sire of 29 champions, several of which are already mentioned under the heading of NAFA. In addition to halter champions, *WITEZ II is sire of the American-bred OFIR (named after his Polish grandsire), winner of several of the 2 Ω mile races here. Offspring of *WITEZ II have been winners in all categories from RONTEZA (cowhorse) to EL TIO (Park) and GALLAHER (jumper) to endurance ride winners and so on, horses of this line "can do". The *WITEZ II line has produced 104 champions, the YATEZ branch probably having the most - with YATEZ himself siring 19 and his sons 3, but the NITEZ branch has the most sub-branches and totals 18." (NOTE: this article dated 1971; statistics on # of champions probably has increased)
