    Aswan

    Aswan is born in Egypt and brought to Tersk Stud in 1963, presented as a gift by President Nasser to the Sovjet Goverment for their help to construct the Aswan-dam in the Nile-river. Aswan sird more then 260 foals in Russia and many of them became famous Sires and Broodmares, Champions in the Showring and Winners at Racetracks.

    da kann ich Dir wirklich recht geben. Es gab nie ein schˆneres Pferd als ihn. Ich habe ihn bis zuletzt gesehen, bis ihn der Tierarzt eingeschl‰fert hat. Nun tobt er auf den immergr¸nen Weiden, so wie wir ihn kennen.

    Carawella (Aswan x Klipsa)

    This is not Carawella (a Negativ daughter) but Caravella. One letter often makes the difference in Arab breeding :-)

    The above pictured Caravella was born at Tersk in 1975, an Aswan daughter out of the Pomeranets daughter Klipsa and was exported to Holland, where she was sold to England. She was for instance used at Paolo Gucci's farm in England. She delivered some fine European show horses

    I have a Gokart son. I heard that Gokart went back to Sweden and that he is now deceased. I've not seen it printed any place, I just heard it to be the case.

    I am so glad that I saw this picture! I have been lucky to purchase a son of Gokart. His name is Kartuv Blue. I call him Silver because he is never out of energy. We are in Dressage, although I know that my horse used to be an English pleasure show horse. I am trying to find out his show recourd.
    Thaks for having this phnoto available. Silver looks just lie his father!

    Strange. I have never seen this picture before. It's a completly different picture of the other known pictures of Aswan. Which is your source ? Are you absolutly sure this is Aswan ?
