    Wow! ive never seen this picture before-the only young pictures of bask that ive seen are the ones in ahw magazine- i have a bask granddaughter and every time i see a pic of him it amazes me how much she resembles him. She is out of a wisdom daughter too- thanks for this picture!!!

    This photo was published in my book "Illustrated Stud Book of Albigowa Stud Farm 1947-1961" together with other 192 photos from this historical stud.

    At the US Nat'l.s this year I spoke to a man from Poland who is an Arabian horse archivist. He had this photo with its date/location etc. Believe it or not BASK was 7 years old in this photo!

    This is so cool. I was looking at my horses pedigree. And I started looking up her ancestors and finding these pictures is awesome. My horse's registered name is Basks Beauty. And she looks almost exactly like *Bask.

    This is a great photo, I had never seen it before. It is my understanding that *Bask went to Janow AFTER his racing career, which ended when he was 6 years old. Prior to his racing career I believe he was at Albigowa. Could *Bask have been 6 years old in this picture? Also, I want to commend you on this web-site, it is WONDERFUL!
