I'm new to this...but just purchased a Khemosabi son. He's a 12 yr old gelding and it was love at first sight; he's a flea-bitten gray but I can see his sire in him. He has the sweetest disposition and very well trained. This is my first horse and I'm thrilled. He's 14.2 but very classic looks.
I recently acquired a stallion which is a "Khemosabi look alike." I recalled the name, but didn't recall the horse himself. Now I see why he is the horse of so many dreams...and it's wonderful to have one so like him in my pasture!
When I was a kid, I remember seeing a picture of Khemosabi for the first time, and telling myself THAT was the horse of my dreams. I collected all of the photos I could of him and had them plastered all over my walls. Now I'm 38 and surfing the Internet and come across websites devoted to this incredible horse. I couldn't believe it when I was a copy of Equus Magazine covering his 30th birthday party. I wish I would have thought to look sooner, before he passed away. But all my childhood memories are coming back to life with these Khemosabi websites. Thank you. :-)
I love Khemosabi! If I could own any horse in the world it would be Khemosabi. I collect pictures and stuff about Khemo. I love Arabs!! I am 11 and my favorite horse, TA Khallah is the granddaughter of Khemo!! She died of colic, though. I love this photo of Khemo because it reminds me of Khallie (her nickname) bye!!
I love Arabian horses!!!!!!! When I get my own farm and start breeding for perfection, I want Khemo in my bloodlines. He's soooo gorgeous. I used to have a *Raffles mare, but she died from colic and i miss her dearly. I hope to get another Arab soon!!!!!! ^-^
I have a Khemo grandbaby due in the June. I an so excited to see what I get. The mare is straight Egyptian and has excellent bloodlines. Her last baby was a Bey Shah great-great granddaughter and took 5th and 3rd in the futurity as a yearling and was shown/trained by an amateur. June can't come fast enough.
I have been around horses most of my life, and just go into arabians about nine years ago. One of the things I was told when I first started was that Khemosabi was a close to perfection as you could get. I can not agree more. He will always be missed!
REGINA!!!!!!!!!!! I did the very same thing...I was amazed by his beauety and has his pic all over my walls(not boys) just KHEMO'S!!!!Then i had a chance to buy one of his grandsons and almost peed my pants i was so exited....my Khemo-Kimo is a little short....they told me "otherwise you'd never have gotten your hands on him..becouse he'd be in one of the rich and famous horse stables"....I share your exitement..good luck...Jan
