e in the mid 1850's and was a Fayette businessman. In the early 1900's he became interested in writing some articles on early pioneer history. Although numberous data are from the 1878 History and material Fitch was working on for his 1910 History, there is added informaiton and observations from a person actually living in Fayette and the country in the eary days of white settlement.
