think I've cracked the protein-moisture issues whilst in extensions; I co-wash every week, alternating between Megatek + Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle Rose and moisturising conditioners (been using Herbal Essences). I spray daily with water + glycerine and sometimes I just dilute some Aubrey's Rosa Mosqueta with water and spray, or I just rinse with water and AO HSR. I seal with coconut oil or Qhemet's Heavy Cream if need be - depends on how hair feels (or my instinct). Nothing's set in stone, so long as it works. Bottom line is, I've found that moisturising isn't as tough as I thought it was whilst in braids. Only problem is I could go for 24 hours with wet/damp hair but I'm learning not to be bothered by that too much. Ah well, working progress........
