Hey Yall!
Today I got a much needed haircut. My hair has been getting on my last nerve for about 6 months now and I needed to do something with it. As much as I've tried to fix the shape, I've never been able to get it exactly the way I wanted...the back would still be so much longer than the rest of my hair.
So I decided to get it shaped professionally. I went to a Dominican salon in my neighborhood and explained that I'm growing it out, but want a face flattering shape for it to grow into. She knew exactly what to do! She was also incredibly nice! This is the first time in a long time that I've left a salon completely satisfied :)
She said there was too much weight in the back of my hair, so she cut it pretty low and it gets longer toward the top...the way I've been wanting it. She also told me my curls were beautiful and that my hair was in excellent condition!
*it was a damp cut.
Before I got there, I washed, conditioned, and detangled my hair, added a little oil and conditioner, and put it into a low pony. She put it into 3 big sections (parted off smaller sections, combed through w a rattail and cut) and only trimmed the very top/front, but gave the back and sides a DEEP cut. It was ONLY$10!!! Miss Jessie's charges what, $200 for a cut?
