Worcester Pride / Water Street Block Party was celebrated between 9/11/2008 through 9/14/2008. We started the festivities on Thursday Night raising the Gay Flag above the MB Lounge to symbolize the start of Gay Pride Week. Marko from the MB Lounge climbed to the flag pole to attach and raise the flag while ongoers watched and cheered as Worcester Light and Sound spotlighted the event. Friday night was a great dance party at Club
BLU followed by a street fair on Water Street on Saturday. Many events for all walks of life were present. Socially the event encompassed ALL WALKS OF LIFE. The people in the pictures here represent MANY diverse life styles; child played in jumping gyms, danced to Bob the Builder; others enjoyed comedians, music and dance. The saturday was topped off by presentations from local and state politicians (again like the pictures: a diverse gamut of lifestyles). Saturday night brought a Piano bar at MB Lounge, great dancing at Club BLU. Sunday ended the weekend with a Brunch at "86 Winter" on Water Street. Thank you to the core group who organized the event and to ALL that came and enjoyed!
