The starting point for this is the re-issued MPC "Hemi Under Glass" Barracuda Wheelstander exhibition car from the late 60s. The body is a '66 or '67(?) To make it A/FX (altered wheelbase) I used two bodies, cut the wheel wells out both front and rear and by cutting one body 'long' the other 'short' (more or less material in front of the wheel well) and using the cut from one to replace the cut from the second, I was able to move the wheel wells forward to get the altered wheel base (does this make any sense???) Anyway, the chassis is from the AMT Rat Packer Nova kit. I lenghtened the frame in the front to extend the front end just a bit more. The engine is the Hemi from the Hemi Under Glass kit with velocity stacks from the parts bin. Decals are from Slixx, very nice aftermarket decals. www.slixx.com. This model won Best Nostalgia Racing at a local model contest in 2006.
