Wow!

So, I've been reading a lot about honey. Sounds very interesting I thought. You know me, nothing fancy so I warmed some honey in cup. Then I grabbed my Suaves Naturals Apple conditioner, squeezed a gloob glob in the cup with the honey, mixed it up and plopped it in my damp hair.

OMGsh! It smelled soooo good and layed nicely on my hair. I combed it through and massaged my scalp a bit. Then put on a plastic shower cap and kept it on for an hour!

It rinsed like nothing else and REALLY DEFINED MY CURLS! also
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PRODUCT aftewards!!!!

To dry my hair, I just wrap it in a t shirt. It absorbs mad crazy and my hair feels 90% dry.

I keep it wrapped for about 5 mins.

My crown was sooooo loose when I first BC that the stylist said it was like I still had relaxed hair in the middle! I hated it! It certainly has joined the team and is starting to do its own thing!

I rinse my hair so that the hair falls down my face instead of it all going back. That way, the swirl of my hair in my scalp (which for me is in the middle of my head) falls natural. I think that really helps with the crazy crown texture. Now its kinda parted in the middle falling off to the sides, which is the natural pattern, and therefore it really helps it to curl! (did all that make sense?)

It seems as though the crown is getting
more curly with each (co)wash.

I have read that the canopy (crown) is usualy much looser than the rest of the hair underneath. That makes me feel better because I was beginning to not like my crown!!!

I STOPPED using Pantene Hydrating curls. It has cones that do no dissolve in water. Since I cowash every day and clarify about every 2 weeks, that relationship had to end!

I since then have used Suave Naturals Aloe!!!!! No cones and no (low) protein. Too much protein for me does seem to dry out my hair. Especially since I cowash everyday.


Ooh, ooh. I also got a trim!!!!!!!!!!! There were still relaxed scragglies that were driving me bonkers so I scheduled an emergency appointment with my stylist. I called him in from the living room and told him cut all the fuzzies that dont belong!

Gosh, that trim made SUCH a huge difference. When in the shower, my curls feel much more smoother and I have less of a fuzzy halo.


Oh! Instead of blotting my hair with 2 paper towels, I wrapped my wet hair in a t shirt for about 5 mins and GEESH, that popped out curls right then and there! The paper towels were cool because it didnt frizz my hair but I now love the t shirt!
