| | 09/25/2008 Grand Canyon North Rim from Toroweap Viewpoint, Tuweep, Arizona This viewpoint can only be accessed by primitive roads coming from a number of directions. We drove the first part of the 61 miles on a washboarded gravel road, through sand accumulations, along ruts and finally bedrock to get there. Needless to say it is a point rarely visited by the average tourist, most don't even know it exists. Donna McCrimmon and I took the photos in this album so it is a collaborative effort on our part to show you what this remote viewpoint has to offer. This album is dedicated to her as a thanks for the trip there in her Chevy Avalanche. My Honda would not have made it on the final miles of the road. There, high clearance is all-important. This album has been completed and no more photos will be added. | PROTECTED | | | | | | | ©2008 James W. Booher WP20081025020dm.jpg | | | | | |
