06/26/2008 Valley of Fire State Park, Overton, Nevada

These photos were taken in Nevada's first state park. It was a miserably hot day (triple digits °F) and I went through three liters of fluids and still was dehydrated from the heat. My lips are still blistered after more than a week. In some directions the sky appears its normal blue but in many under the influence of smog drifting in from Las Vegas the sky appears gray and hazy. All in all it was a good day for taking photos and I took many. I would advise anybody going there for a visit not to do so past April or before October. The near summer and summer temperatures and low humidity are killers. This album has been completed and no more photos will be added.
