Mesquite is a 45-minute drive from our home so we occasionally go there to eat at one of the buffets in the casinos. It is a rapidly expanding city with the influx of snowbirds and year-round residents. The winters are warmer there than they are in Utah by perhaps 10 degrees F. Golfers enjoy the golf courses and many people like to contribute to the local economy at the casinos.
