These are all photos of the beautiful prickly pear cacti in front of the Harrisburg Cemetery lot which have ripened "pears" on them. They are of a variety I have heard called "mules ears" or "cows tongues" because of their elongated pads. The fruit may be picked and processed into great jellies and wines locally by "Brewer and Naylor" who have a closely-guarded undisclosed method of getting rid of the spines. They'd have to kill me if they told me, so they say. I haven't insisted on knowing - yet. This album has been completed and no more photos will be added.
