Southern Utah University occupies a fairly large campus that seems to be well-endowed considering it is located in this smaller southern Utah Community. It is beautiful and looks like a progressive institution of higher learning. Given a deadline for the completion of the first university buildings (house it or lose it), Cedar City residents fought through heavy winter storms to make and haul lumber down from the mountains through deep snow for construction. This accomplishment is memorialized with the bronze sculpture by Jerry Anderson. I have taken a number of photos of it from different angles.
