These photos were taken in the vicinity of Highway 9 past the east end of the 1.1 mile tunnel through the mountain which affords access to the east area of the park and beyond to Carmel Junction. I hiked down into the dry streambed (unknown to me whether it was Pine Creek or Clear Creek) and along it upstream as time allowed. There are photos of the largest Rocky Mountain Juniper tree I have ever seen along the way. They are called cedars here but they are actually in the juniper genus. I had not seen the balanced rock before either even though I had been up and down the highway many times before. No matter how many times I visit Zion I always see something I never noticed before. This album has been completed and no mote photos will be added.
