07/21/2006 - 08/24/2006 Vacation in Longview, Washington

These photos were taken on a recent visit to Longview, Washington, our home town for many years. We have Woody and Alyce Tramm, ex-neighbors and wonderful friends, to thank for their hospitality during the entire stay.
We had beautiful weather for the visit. During the 4 months out of the year when the weather is nice it is a great place to live. Conversely, when the weather is rainy and overcast a significant part of the other 8 months, it's not so great living there! In fact, it is downright depressing. That's why we moved away from this beautiful evergreen place in May, 2006.
It was great spending time with friends and family. This album has been completed and no more photos will be added.

Silhouettes of Western Hemlock and Douglas Fir Across the Road from 1205 Eufaula Heights Road, Longview, Washington
Good pic. I used to love to visit Hemlock Valley in British Columbia. There were untold numbers of bald eagle nests in the hemlocks.

Tomato Blossoms at 127 Arlington Place, Heron Pointe, Longview, Washington
I see what you mean by the hairs on the tomatoe plants. It's Oct.15 and we still have some flowers on our tomatoe plants. That's quite unusual considering we live on the coast of the North Atlantic in Canada.

I've never seen an artichoke growing before. I usually only see them in the supermarket LOL. Your shot even captures the dew! Wow.

Love this reflection in the water. I like willows & how they move in the breeze.
