One of the most important Renaissance structures north of the Alps. The earliest castle structure was built before 1214 AD. Later it was expanded into two castles in 1294. In 1537 a lightning destroyed the upper part of the castle. The castle has been partially rebuilt after its destruction (from wars, fires & etc..) in the 17th & 18th centuries.
