i have only been to New York City once it was back in 1988. i did not get the chance to go into the world trade centers while i was there. i was with a school trip. so looking at these pictures is great to me. i am from a small town in tennessee. called white house. i was at work when the attack started on america. i watched the whole thing on tv that morning. i was a receptionist for a relators so we had tv going all the time. i was horrified watching all of this happen. noone really knew the extent of what was going on. the tv only showed the towers from a distance. we were just praying that everyone was getting out. it wasn't until late that night and the next morning we started finding out all who were missing. my husband was out of town in washington dc working. all i knew was we were being attacked and didn't know what was coming next. i couldn't get through on the cell phones to tell him to try and get somewhere safe.(but where was a safe place if the pentagon wasn't uh?) it was so scary. so i can't imagine having a spouse, friend or family working at the twin towers or pentagon that morning. i continue to think about that day and all the lives effected by what happened. may God be with those lost and left behind. God bless us all and America.
would like to have some still pics of the windows of the world, my aunt and i went there a great deal before 9-11 everytime i was in n.y.c. very good pics do you have any more
As the Director of Catering at WOW, I find this most interesting. Many shots bring back great memories. I was in the lobby and was able to evacuate. I count my blessings each day and thank you for publishing these photos. This is the copier outside of the Catering office that we used every day. Very interesting. 212-872-4518 Gregory Hein
