This is me, naturally. My first attempt at going natural was from 1993 to 1997. Then, I relapsed and went back to the chemicals. Then on October 19, 2002, I decided I had had enough. I am chemical-free and I plan to stay that way! chemical-free and I plan to stay that way! - photos: 32 (9 MB)

| | | - Kinky-Curly Curling Custard vs. Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding
-
-
Looks the same to me. The differences are in the application, the final texture and the smell. Custard tends to be on the sticky side and Pudding is more crunchy. Pudding is also a lot more work as I have to apply the Buttercream and my hair has to be soaking wet. But the curl definition is pretty much equal. And I personally, hate the grape smell of the Pudding, especially when combined with the peppermint smell of the Buttercream. It makes me nauseous. I love the aroma of the Custard. It's absolutely heavenly! have to apply the Buttercream and my hair has to be soaking wet. But the curl definition is pretty much equal. My hair looked pretty good and grew very well, I must admit, but I suffered the loss of my hairline. It was sooooooo not worth it! If I could do it all over again... - photos: 11 (1 MB)

"Like White people of Hispanic heritage, Black Hispanics are often overlooked in the U.S. mass media and in general American social perceptions, where being "Hispanic" is often incorrectly given a racial value..." - -Wikipedia
This is just my list of famous Afro-Latinos in history. Some may have just one great-grandparent from a Latin American country and others may have just one great-grandparent of African origin. I don't care. I'm using the "one-drop" rule here. If you've got one drop of Black blood, you're my people and if you've got one drop of Latin blood, you're my people. So, no matter what, you're all my people.
This is a work in progress so if you know of anyone notable who is missing from this list, please let me know. Obviously, I'm not going to include every sports player, politician and rapper, otherwise, this list would be way too long.
Oh, and if the person is Puerto Rican or of Puerto Rican descent, he or she is obviously American. I really didn't think I needed to spell that one out... racial value..." - -Wikipedia

I don't know if they're all natural-haired models, but I think their hair is pretty. I would love to know how to re-create some of the styles on my own head! - photos: 36 (3 MB)

| | | - Italian Vogue - The Black Issue - July 2008
-

Fashionistas, I would like to thank you all so much for the love you've shown me regarding my sales of "The Black Issue" of Italian Vogue. I'm happy I was able to get my hands on them and I'm overjoyed to have shared them all with you. I also appreciate all of the e-mails of support you've shared with me regarding this historic and unprecedented "Black Issue."
For those who don't know, photographer, Steven Meisel shot the entire issue with zero white models, in hopes the move will encourage other magazines to diversify.
Selling on eBay is my hobby, but this unprecedented issue in a major, world-reknown fashion magazine is my passion, and I'm so glad to have been able to make it available to my Fotki sisters.
