i am so annoyed with my hair. i must be super style challenged because most of my styles are epic fails! twists-bust. twistouts-bust. braidouts-bust. bantu knot out-bust. LOL. yal get the picture. the only time my hair looks good is when i do a wash n' go, or a puff, which can get boring. i don't know what to do. help me out yal.

the only good thing about this month is that i've found a good moisturizer- Qhemet BRBC and HE LTR leave-in. also, i really am falling in love with Giovanni Smooth As Silk conditioner. it really lives up to its name.

3/4/10: i am so annoyed with my hair. almost all of the styles i do turn out ugly. =[ my twists are janky.

i've also noticed that my hair is not as full as it was the first time i went natural. i've realized that this damage probably happened when i was transitioning. when i'd make a halfassed attempt to detangle, most of the time i just ripped through the hair and would just pull it out. now i am seeing that it had an effect on my natural hair. my hair is not as thick as it used to be and my crown is definitely not as full. i feel like i had more hair than this when i was just 11 months natural the last time. =[ i feel like chopping it all off again and starting over.

i'm finally back! i hadn't been uploading pics because my mouse broke. i couldn't upload and click on fotki, even with control keys. i finally got a new mouse though so i have a few pics from the end of May, June and July. hadn't been doing much while i was gone, since i was still discouraged about my twists.

anyway, i've compared my recent braidout to the one i did earlier this year, and i saw a lot of growth. thats great, because just today i was thinking i hadn't made any progress.

yeah so i finally have a few updates. i had been scared to come back to fotki since i got a virus on my desktop. got a new laptop though and tips on how to block things. all is well so far.

this month is all about me trying to master the perfect twistout. if i don't get it i will lose my mind lol. usually i'd do twistouts on small twists that were done on wet/damp hair, but i'm ready for something different. i'm after bigger hair, and i'm not gonna stop til i get it.

yay! i've made it to my one year mark! (well in ten days have anyway) i can't believe how far i've come in terms of styling and growth. will have some comparison pictures up later.

this will be my last update for a while. i will photograph or upload any pictures of my hair for the months of March, April, and probably some of May. i will be leaving for bootcamp on the 22nd of this month and i won't have time for it. but i will be back! and hopefully i will have gained some length from all the exercise i will be getting.

in trying to protect my goal to get to bsl by the end of the year, i have decided i will wear wet twists to meps, and the morning i ship out, i will undo them to rock a twistout. this will make my hair shrink up, similar to the look of a short cut. i just hope no one snitches that my hair is long when they see it wet in the showers. =/ if they do cut it, i will be a little sad.
