i'm gonna be 9 weeks post relaxer on saturday. i haven't seen much growth yet =/ i'm trying to use less heat on my ends, so i'm practicing rollersets when i'm not being lazy lol. i only flat ironed my new growth. i think i did okay; my rolling time was about an hour. the only things i had trouble with were the spacing of the rollers, and some were crooked and had hair hanging off the edges. if anyone has any tips on a better rollerset, please leave a comment.
since i've been transitioning, i've been shedding more. i'm sure its normal, but i'm still freaked out since my hair broke off in 07. i honestly don't think i have done a proper dc since spring 07. i read that dc'ing with heat was a good way to decrease shedding. i tried it today, and it really cut back on my shedding. i hardly lost any hair while detangling, and even when i combed while rollersetting. i guess i'll have to stop being lazy and dc every week. =/
oh, and for anyone who has transitioned, what conditioners did you use to keep your hair strong? today i tried Tresemme Anti-Breakage conditioner. i'm gonna try HH Break's Over and John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring conditioner. if anyone has had any results with those lines, please leave a comment.
