In Hawaii Sam wakes up to find Carly putting Josslyn to sleep in the pack n' play. Sam offers Carly a beer. Carly thanks Sam for getting Josslyn to sleep and suggests that Jason would make a super dad; he would do anything in his power to make sure his kid had the most amazing life ever. Sam changes the subject to Jax; does Carly think that she drove Jax away? Carly actually agrees. Sam asks if Jax could return, would Carly want to work things out with him? Carly turns the tables; what would happen if Jason and Sam had a kid? Before Carly can answer, they hear gunshots outside!
Outside Jason checks on Shawn, who advises him to enjoy the rest of his honeymoon because there is a mess waiting for him in Port Charles. Jason is confident that Shawn took care of everything and offers him a job. He is going to need some help back home. Shawn briefly hints that he is haunted by something that would make him unfit for the job. He then changes the subject to updating Jason on what is going on with Dante and Michael. Sam and Carly join them, thinking there is gunfire, but are pleasantly relieved to see it's fireworks. As Sam and Jason retire to their room to watch the show, Shawn takes a deep breath to control an attack of PTSD. Carly can see that Shawn is not okay and brings Josslyn's stuffed dog, Rufus, to comfort him. Shawn tells Carly a story about finding a woman who defended her husband against the Taliban. He found her lying in the road, bleeding, and died in his arms. Carly advises Shawn to stop pushing people away and swears she wants to help him. Inside the cottage Jason mentions that he found Sam sleeping with Josslyn and Sam wonders if they are ready for a child. Jason stares at Sam; what does she think?
