I started getting relaxers when I was 9 years old (right before a Kriss Kross concert by my mother in the kitchen. LOL) I started to get them b/c my hair was always very tangled and huge. I would spend hours getting it detangled and pressed so my mom throw in the comb and gave me a relaxer. I have no idea what my natural hair looks like but I am excited to find out! :)

Here is the first 6 months of my transition from relaxed to natural hair...it is all trial and error! :)

My last relaxer was July 9, 2008.

I decided to document some of the treatments I try...we'll, see how it goes!

I am sorry I haven't been updating as I should but I got a new job and I moved to a different city (STL-my hometown) so life has been crazy lately! I am finally settling into my new place and taking new hair pictures!

Plus, I went to the beauty shop for the first time in since July '08 and got 1 1/2 inches chopped off. I wanted to get more but I suppose my beautician didn't really believe I wanted to part with my hair. :) I am just trying to cut it slowly so that I will not be shocked when the BC comes!

I did my BIG CHOP on December 23, 2009 on my birthday after 17 months of transitioning!

I had to do another chop to even some things out & to get rid of rough ends. I took off another 1/2 inch. I am a little sad about the length but I know that it will grow back!
