2nd time. Just like the 2447. The item arrives sliding around inside the box.
What would ever posses someone to pack a 13 pound piece of electronics in a steel box with sharp corners and 19" rack rails sticking out like sharp wings no less, with nothing more than thin mill plastic bags puffed with air?
No expandable polystyrene; no cardboard spacers; no crumpled newspapers even. Absolutely nothing to hold the item in place other than puffed air that probably popped when the deliveryman picked the item up and dumped it in the truck the 1st leg of its journey to me.
???? GEEZ !!!!!!!!!!
And of course, the electronics got damaged. The processor board must have become damaged, as the boot-up times-out and fails on either the 1st or 2nd of the 4 Sharc DSP processors.

2447 got beat up in transit. The magnet's edges got pretty chipped; hope the magnet strength didn't diminish. All the bolts broke off. The one that broke @ the magnet needed to be drilled out and re-tapped. A lotta work; a lotta time. :(
