A unique truck seen on railroad tracks is the Brandt Maintenance of Way trucks for track repair, clean up and servicing. In October of 2008 I photographed a handful of new Peterbilt 367 Heavy-Haul tri-drives spec'd by Brandt. I set aside an Italeri 378 kit for a Brandt build in '08 and have been amassing parts and information since. In October of '09 while returning from dinner with my father I spotted this Brandt 367 - not having my camera I borrowed his and snapped a bunch of pics before the sun set. My model is based on multiple Brandt units, sort of a fantasy unit. I'm using the Italeri 378 for the cab, a scratchbuilt hood, plastruct channel for frame rails and cross members, Plaskit's Neway suspension, KFS wheels, P&P resin updated interior pieces and air cleaner caps and custom made decals by Doug Walker. Started 6/22/12. Finished 7/8/12.
