Healthy Hair Growth Mission
Oct 15, 2006

Last week I went to see Diane da Costa to get my hair cut and to start my personal healthy hair growth mission. I got a phytospecific texturizer (non-chemical with soya and egg product--check out their website for more details) and a real hair cut/shape. The year before I visited Curve/Miss Jessie's salon and a silkner. A few months later I got color, needless to say, I needed a hair overhaul to get back on track. So this is the beginning...

Three weeks after my visit to Diane da Costa
Oct 30, 2006

I'm going to tract my hair journey for 7 (I HAD TO WASH AT 5 B/C I HAD A DATE) days so you can see how my hair holds up. I read a lot about "second day hair" and I want to show you why I decided to get the texturizer. In the evenings I moisturize my hair and ends with Organikah Whipped Cream and in the morning after I steam in the shower, I apply a mixture of Curls Milkshake and either Organikah Whipped Cream or Jane Carter Solution Nourish and Shine. I separate and shape my hair with the blow dryer and go!

2 Month Follow up with Diane Da Costa (12/22/06)

I went back to Diane and overall I'm very pleased. I was a little upset about having to get 2 inches cut, but it was actually for the best. I needed to get rid of my dead ends that wouldn't curl and I also noticed that my hair tangled way too much. She knows what she's talking about, but I do miss those 2 inches )-: It's all about seeking healthy hair and it was necessary.
