Coils
Decided to try something new. Had tried several different products for curling hair (straws, small and medium soft twist rollers, conair hotsticks hairsetter) and liked how the straw set stayed through several washings. So, I did a straw set on my whole head. I noticed that I didn't need to actually let the hair set. I just twirled it around the straw and eased the straw out and it stayed coiled.
Looking forward to the next co-washes. Hoping it'll end up looking like a coily fro.
Well, I'm on my 2nd co-wash and it's still coiled and hanging down. The coils where I part my hair are halfway uncoiled but everything else is as tight, if not tighter, than before. So much for a coily fro.
update: I don't think I'm gonna do this again. It was very difficult to get the coils out. My hair DID NOT want to uncoil one bit! Had to uncoil them soaking wet one by one and lost a lot of hair in the process.
If I do get the urge again, I'll only coil the ends or coil a ponytail.
I also have to separate them with water and conditioner before getting in the shower to wash my hair.

lol...me neither.
... that is all.

No I haven't tried that yet. I'm supposed to try it to get a BAA but haven't had the time yet.

I think I need to to get a decent haircut but I've never done it so I don't know how my hair will take it and I'm too scared to find out that it won't return to glorious nappiness.
