Front Anti-Swaybar Urethane Bushes
On older TT's, the front anti-swaybar has a plastic sleeve glued to it. There is a rubber bush riding on the sleeve, and the bush is held in place with a metal collar. This system works fine, until the glued on sleeve breaks free of the bar. At that point, there is motion between the sleeve and the bar, and the result is squeaking whenever the anti-swaybar moves.
This squeaking is solved by removing the OEM Bush, cutting off the plastic sleeve, and replacing the two piece plastic/rubber solution with a single piece urethane bush. The bush I used is made by PowerFlex, and I got it at TTStuff:

You need to get the right bush for your bar. On my car, the front bar diameter (the metal bar, sans plastic sleeve) is 20 mm, so I bought the corresponding bush.
