Some newer cars have changed the function of turn signal stalk so that if you "softly" push the arm (push to where the signal flashes, but is not locked, and release it immediately), the turn signal will flash three times. This is handier than having to hold the stalk for a few flashes. Also handier than clicking the stalk over to flash, and then having to manually cancel it. It is very useful for lane changes, and with a quick flick of your finger, you can signal a lane change without ever really having your hand leave the steering wheel.
CXI makes a module for the TT that adds this functionality to the car (works on some other Audi and VW models as well, though I am not sure of the entire list). The module takes only 5 wire connections to work, and it mimics the funtionality built in to newer Audi's perfectly. Wires are connected with wire taps - no cutting and splicing is required. The unit is reprogrammable so that you can have 3, 4, or 5 "burst" flashes, or return to stock functionality.
I am VERY pleased with this unit. It works exactly as advertised.
