The Turkish people have an unrivalled reputation for hospitality, the cuisine is to die for, the coastline is a dream, and many Turkish cities are dotted with spectacular mosques and castles. And while costs are rising, Turkey remains one of the Mediterranean's bargain-basement destinations.

Tallinn is a historical city dating back from the medieval times and was first recorded on a world map in 1154, although the first fortress was built on Toompea in 1050. In 1219, the city was conquered by Valdemar II of Denmark, but it was soon sold to the Hanseatic League in 1285. The city - known as Reval at the time - prospered as a trading town in the 14th century, and much of Tallinn's historic center was built at this time.

Tallinn then became a pawn in the geopolitical games of its big neighbors, passing into Swedish hands in 1561 and then to Russia under Peter the Great in 1710. By World War I and the ensuing brief Estonian independence (starting 1918) Tallinn's population had reached 150,000.

Los Angeles was founded on September 4, 1781, by Spanish governor Felipe de Neve as El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río de Porciúncula (The Village of Our Lady, the Queen of the Angels of the river of Porziuncola). It became a part of Mexico in 1821, following its independence from Spain. In 1848, at the end of the Mexican-American War, Los Angeles and the rest of California were purchased as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, thereby becoming part of the United States. Los Angeles was incorporated as a municipality on April 4, 1850, five months before California achieved statehood.

Often known by its initials, L.A., and nicknamed the City of Angels, Los Angeles is a world center of business, international trade, entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, technology, and education. It is home to renowned institutions covering a broad range of professional and cultural fields, and is one of the most substantial economic engines within the United States. As the home base of Hollywood, it is known as the "Entertainment Capital of the World", leading the world in the creation of motion pictures, television production, video games, and recorded music. The importance of the entertainment business to the city has led many celebrities to call Los Angeles and its surrounding suburbs home. Los Angeles hosted the 1932 and 1984 Summer Olympics.

Lake Harku is located near Tallinn. It is very close to my home. So every time when I want to see nature I am going for little walk.

The South Rim of Arizona's Grand Canyon is expensive and overcrowded, and there is usually a shortage of parking and accommodation, but that of course doesn't matter as the canyon is the most famous natural attraction in the USA and possibly in the world. No-one forgets their first sight of the Grand Canyon and it will never fail to impress or offer something new, no matter how often it is visited.

A powerful and inspiring landscape, the Grand Canyon overwhelms our senses through its immense size. Unique combinations of geologic color and erosional forms decorate a canyon that is 277 river miles (446km) long, up to 18 miles (29km) wide, and a mile (1.6km) deep.

The southernmost country in Scandinavia, Denmark is also the friendliest and most continental. It shares a shortish border with Germany and is a bridge between Scandinavia and the continent. It's composed of the main Jutland peninsula, the smaller islands of Odense, Lolland and Zealand, and hundreds of smaller islands.

Danes are a fun-loving people, nightlife in Copenhagen is surpassed by few other places in this part of the world. Danish design is famous throughout the world and can be seen in museums, shops and boutiques. Picking up a great designer piece would be a better investment than the usual bunch of souvenirs.

Copenhagen is a chic, modern city with beautiful canals and a cafe scene that can hang with any in Europe. North of the city you can see Hamlet's castle. South is the town of Roskilde, where a huge music festival of the same name takes over every summer

The sandy beaches of Corfu Island and its lovely coves and bays are famous all over Greece for their limpid waters and the verdant vegetation. Many of the idyllic beaches are proposing sun beds and umbrellas rentals as well as sea sports facilities but many of them are leaved to their natural beauty: Agios Gordis, Paleokastritsa, Myrtiotisa, Pelekas ...

Famous for its unique geology, consists of a series of horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters carved from the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau in southern Utah. Eerie, grotesque and often whimsical hoodoos are on display here, along with ancient trees and scenic views from the rim.

Red Rock Canyon enormous scarlet silence overwhelms the senses like nothing made by man. From the Calico Overlook, accessible by automobile along a 13 -mile scenic loop, sightseers lose their sense of scale.The 100-million-year-old sandstone escarpment, known to geologists as the Keystone Thrust, is so large that appears almost close enough to touch.Then , the eye picks up something tiny crawling on the rock-cliff climbers. The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, as it is formally called, has an international reputation among rock climbers.
