A good friend let me try his very new Nikon D300 with 18-200 VR lens. It is a wonderful camera and the lens has a very seductive zoom range. However I didnt plan the morning tryout well - I tended to use it too much at close range and I was not conversant with all the AF options. Focus wasnt where I expected in several cases however still a few very nice shots.
