Hot tiring day with very steep slopes - lots of physical effort to get around. He got some beauties - in fact he got the best photo of the day.

To celebrate our birthdays Linda and I went to lunch with our good friends John and Colleen. We choose a small restaurant and winery in the Adelaide Hills. It was a great choice. It was a great day in a great location with great food and good conversation with good friends.

Daughter and her partner organised a family and friends cricket match on the Australia day weekend. Great fun had by all.

Christine had 2 informal family meals (Fasta Past and Indian) to celebrate her 18th birthday. She also went out to the pub with mum & the girls for a good night out.

Most of the snapshots were taken by the 6 year old grandson. He liked the paintings at the Indian restaurant. I did tidy up the photos.

Even though most of the photos are in poor condition with little information I am very reluctant to dispose of them. I have scanned a few and hope that gives them the chance of discovery and a longer future.

When my mother-in-law died she left many tins, boxes and books of photos of her own and from her mother. Many are in good condition but my scanning can be improved.

Lots of young men going off to war. Even though we know few of them and there is little detail I simply cant bring myself to dicing them out. I have scanned a few and hope they may have a chance of survival and discovery.

Taken by Bronson on school trip to Monarto. Photos were taken on moving bus through windows (some of which probably tinted). Photos have been heavily edited - fixed some things but made others a little worse.

Just a small selection of photos. I am embarrassed - I am not doing something right. Flash ought to freeze main object but in having a lighter background I am bringing blur into main subject. I am finding it unpredictable.

Becky, Nic - unfortunately not enough natural light or opportunity. Needed bigger flash. If anything the later photos much better even though later & with the pocket camera because closer and more relaxed. Images here have less resolution than the originals.

My granddaughter finished Year12 High School and her class had a "formal" at a hotel at Glenelg.

It is easy to take good photographs of young vibrant young people. I didnt take most of the photographs but I did do all the post processing.
