These gardens were magnificient and are part of the Cowra effort to aid cultural understanding. The people of Cowra are to be commended. One illustration of the recognition of their efforts is that the Australian Peace Bell is located in Cowra (outside Council Chambers).

Cowra also has the only Japanese War Cemetery outside of Japan. They are linking the War Cemetery to the Gardens with an avenue of cherry blossom trees.
