- - This is my natural hair journey. I did the b/c in September of '06.
- I decided to go natural because I was tired of putting harmful chemicals into my hair. I just couldn't see perming my hair for the rest of my life. I wanted to be happy w/ the way I was born, the way God made me.
- At first I wasn't too comfortable w/ my texture, and kept it either covered up or w/ extensions.
- It was a little hard to become comfortable w/ my unique texture, because I was comparing it other natural textures, and I tried styles and products in the hopes that it would look like theirs.
- It took me a while, but I finally became comfortable w/ my own texture. I finally realized that I was trying to make my hair look like something it's not, and will never be.
- Even though I referred to youtube, fotki, and natural hair sites for tips, I ultimately had to find what works best for me.
- My hair length from b/c to now does not comply because not only did I do a second b/c, but I also cut about 2 inches off the back in the 2nd year, and I trim my ends regularly.
- Now that I know what I'm doing, I am more concerned w/ the health of my hair, rather than the length. - albums: 6
