Walk in the hill near Comrie in Perthshire followed by a visit to Creiff.
A generally cloudy overcast day ended with spectacular cloud formations which were lit by the setting sun

Day visit to Linlithgow Palace and Loch

We have grown sunflowers for the first time. Different varieties, but the big yellow ones are just flowering now.
Sunshine and nice sky for background make them look great

Hot Air Balloons

Pipe band championships held in Glasgow Green.
Most of the photos were taken of bands practising as you can get really close to them. We were unable to see them preforming in the main arena, caught a glimpse of one band in TV monitor

Competition on for photographs in South Lanarkshire & Camera Club were exhibiting their photos at Calderglen, so I took some photos around the park and at the Town Centre which I hoped to use for the contest

Mixture of flowers bought from a supermarket and flowers in our garden.
Tried different arrangements of the bought flowers to try a little still life in natural light (garden and kitchen worksurface).
Had to water the floers in the garden early in the day in full sunshine as they hadn't been watered for while.
After watering I had to go and get may camera to take some of the lovely images of the water droplets onthe flowers. Not too natural as the water shows up in places that the rain wouldn't reach

Lovely day so we had to go for a drive. Decided to go to ayr to see local athletics club compete, then went to the seafront for a walk along the prom and to the local park. Day finished with fish & chips and a beautiful sunset. Too late for the competition but great fun to take. Don't think the boys who were fishing even noticed the wonderful sky.

A trip to Pooley Bridge in the Lake District resulted in a lovely walk in the adjacent hills then down to the side of Ulleswater and a walk along the shore back to the Village. Lovely views and lovely colours .

Walk around the grounds of Culzean Castle with cousins over from Canada. Another great day in the Scottish country side. Who says it always rains in Scotland

Short walk around Ardmore Point near Helensburgh followed by an unsuccessful search for a route through the trees. Then into Helensburgh and a stop to watch the Waverley Paddle Steamer on the Clyde

A walk at Portencross on the Ayrshire coast.
I called it the 'Power Walk' because we pass a Nuclear Power Station have a view of Inverkip Power Station and then the Windmill Farm on hillside

Took Caths mum for drive and to blow cobwebs from Cath as she felt a little better
