Around the clyde at night
Nov 25, 2005
Building around Glasgow Merchant City were being lite up as part of a festival called Radiance.
We arrive when it was already too dark for the best photos, but we ended up taking a few as you can see. Rain and snow had fallen during the previous night and day which meant some of the lights at the mosque weren't working, but it did give good detail to the cobbles.
As well as the entrance route of lights the mosque dome also changed colour.
St Andrews Cathedral also had extra lighting, but I don't think it improved it.
The lights along the clyde and under the bridges is there all the time, but they looked so good we had to photograph them.
I haven't seen so many people out with cameras and tripods as I did that night.
We didn't manage to see any of the other things which were on hopefully it will be repeated

Photos around the Science Centre and SECC. Two well photographed locations so it is hard to find new viewpoints. But you most keep trying. Just as well its digital.

The walkway
Jun 6, 2005
The walkway between Anderson Station and the SECC is a means of crossing the railway line and the Clydeside Expressway to get to the exhibition centre. The lighting can be great or very dull. I was lucky not only was the lighting great but there was a jobs fair for University students on so I had plenty of subjects who didn't mind the photos being taken. The walkway rises and falls and turns in all direction so different views can be created in a short distance
