http://www.blackpooltourism.com/ On the way home the weather was at first Atrocious with heavy rain but as we got further north it gradually improved ans was really nice as we reached Preston. With time on our side we decided to make quick visit to Blackpool. Arriving at the end of the M55 we turned left to visit St Anne's first. A short walk through the gardens and back via the pier was very welcome in the warm sunshine. Travelling north along the front past the Pleasure Beach, Tower and Piers towards North Shore. We parked there and walked back along the Prom to the Tower. It was just as well we could use the Tesco vouchers to pay for entrance here. It cost us nothing but I still think it was a rip off. Cath's first thought was that it was like entering an ashtray it was so dark smelly and dirty. Hopefully the no smoking laws will come into use in England soon and pub, restaurants and places like this will be free for smoke and might be a joy to visit. Access to the Ballroom would have cost another £35+. After nearly getting wet photographing on the beach we caught a tram back to the Cabin where we had a nice meal before finally heading home.
