10,000 Buddhas Tsa Tin - Sep 10, 2006
-
10,000 Buddhas Monastery (萬佛寺), off Sheung Wo Che St, Sha Tin (KCR Sha Tin exit B, down the left ramp, left to Pai Tau St, right to Sheung Wo Che St). This rather garish but enjoyable modern temple dating to the 1950s in fact contains no less than 12,800 Buddhas lining the walls of the main hall. There's also a nine-story pagoda and some smaller temples above the main complex. Half the fun is getting there: the 500-meter path climbing up the hill is lined with life-sized golden plastic statues of Buddhas in poses ranging from serene to outrageous. Free admission, but donations welcome.

Mong Kok - Oct 22, 2006
-
Information Source : Wikipedia.org
Mong Kok or Mongkok (Chinese: 旺角; the English name is a transliteration of its older name 望角 or 芒角) is an area in the Yau Tsim Mong District on Kowloon Peninsula, Hong Kong, China. Before a 1994 merge, Mong Kok was part of the Mong Kok District.
The name in Chinese means "flourishing/busy corner". Recent road works revealed some potteries as old as Jin Dynasty (265-420), indicating that there might be settlements that early.
The district is characterised by a mixture of old and new multi-story buildings, with shops and restaurants at street level and commercial or residential units above. Major industries in Mong Kok are retail, restaurants (including fast food) and entertainment.
Mong Kok was the setting for the 2004 hit film One Night in Mongkok directed by Derek Yee. The movie portrays Mong Kok, one of the most densely populated places on Earth, as a hotbed of illicit activity. - Album was created 6 years 8 months ago and modified 5 years ago

-
Information Source : wikipedia.org
Hong Kong Tramways is one of the three tramways in the world that have regular operation of double-decker trams (the others being Blackpool, England and Alexandria), and is the only system that runs exclusively on double-deckers.
Operated by The Wharf, the tramway runs on Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong between Shau Kei Wan and Kennedy Town, with a branch circulating Happy Valley. 240,000 residents commute by tram every day. Most Important - flat fare of HKD2.00 - any point to anywhere in Hong Kong islands. An alternative, leisurely way to take in busy Hong Kong. These pictures were taken at twilight :) - Album was created 6 years 7 months ago and modified 1 year 2 months ago
