Well after the first week walking around Soller in Majorca we flew to Menorca for a more leisurely week.
We stayed in an area called Fornells, which is renowned for the sailing and windsurfing which takes place in the large lagoon type bay.
We had some great walks and saw many types of birds, animals and flowers etc.
A very good week and thanks to Chis for organising a pool tournament at our hotel which was won by Peter.

Another walking holiday with Ramblers which took place bet 26 th April and 10 th May. We spent a week walking the hills around Porto De Soller in Majorca, then a further week on the island of Menorca.
A great 2 weeks spent with a group of very friendly people. A particular thanks to Nick our leader who lead with a good sense of humour.
This site is under construction and photos of the 2 weeks will be added in between washing of 2 weeks clothes, mowing the lawn, going out on the sailing boat, painting the lounge, dining room, and study, and playing my Tuba.

On our last full day of our walking holiday on the Greek island 6 of the group took a day trip to Turkey by boat. We took a trip to Ephesus, then viewed Turkish carpets and ended up in the town of Kusedasi wandering around the Turkish bazaars. A great day out. I will add photos during next few days

We were a group of 13 walkers from all parts of the UK who met up on the Greek island of Samos, July 2002 for a 2 week walking holiday. We spent a week at on Samos then the second week on Patmos. Very enjoyable 2 weeks but it was so very very hot with temperatures somtimes over the 100 degrees. Good group, good food, good, drink, great walks what else would you want, eh ?

During our holiday in Samos we travelled by boat to the island of Patmos for 5 days walking, swimming etc. What a lovely island we found it to be and we enjoyed our stay so much. Particularly the late evening sitting in the open cafe in the square, having had a meal al fresco in a local Taverna.

Photos were taken whilst on a Ramblers walk 18 th to 25 th September on the island of Crete. Photos were mainly taken near the lovely town of Hania, but there are also some taken during the exhausting Samaria Gorge 12 mile walk.
