Your plaits looks like mine (a few days old braids, done on dry hair) here , only it is too much hassle for me to part it, so I tend to skip that step since my hair is dense enough to hide most of my sloppy sections.
You are one stylish chic! I read your comment about your great aunt suggesting you get perm....that is just typical. I say just do what you feel comfortable with. Your hair is BEAUTY-FULL as is.
Folks still think it's all about the product. Sometimes it's just nature and nothing you can do about that. ============================= Yeah, product may help or hurt a little, but it's not everything. In general in hair care, I think technique has more to do with it than products.
Even at 12" I couldn't make a low-puff because my hair was too thick. ==================== Me, neither. This is me at about 12" but this is my hair straightened a bit. In it's kinky state, well, I might could juuuuust make it if the hair had been stretched by twists or twist outs or something. Looking at other people's low puffs, I think not all the hairs are getting into the puffs. I think the shorter hairs just stick to the rest through brushing or something.
